An Important Message from The Sharkman.

Dear Shark friends.

Thousands of Sharks are being killed every day. Even as you read this, hundreds of sharks are having their fins cut off whilst still alive, and being dumped back into the water to sink and die a slow death on the oceans bottom. Everyday that this massacre goes on, Sharks are slowly getting closer to the dangerous levels of extinction. We have to do something and we have to act fast.

Also other large amounts of sharks are being caught as a bycatch by fishermen, plus others end up in Aquariums and do not survive for long.

It is for this reason that this website was created in 1997, To raise awareness towards Shark Conservation issues. Up to some small extent, it has made an impact, but that is not enough!!! The urgency of the Shark situation makes me take this a step further.

I feel that SHARKMAN'S WORLD needs to have more impact, and with this in mind SHARKMAN'S WORLD ORGANIZATION has been set up.

To make this Organization work is not an easy task, and I surely cannot do it alone. I need a lot of help from those that are willing to take this challenge with me, and also from those of you that can offer any donations, no matter how small.

Sadly, Sharks have been labeled as Monsters and Man-eaters for a long time, and to convince the right people to pass laws for Shark Protection, takes a lot of hard work.

The main aims of the Organization are:
1: To raise more shark awareness and dispel the Monster and Man-eater image that Humans have about sharks.

2: To campaign for shark protection and conservation worldwide.

The Printing and publishing of Shark awareness material is not cheap either and any small donation will help. It is up to people like us to protect these magnificent creatures before it is too late.
